Initiatives

Africa Initiative
As a mark of solidarity with the Roman Catholic Church in Africa, the Theology Department at the University of Notre Dame has established two annual scholarships at the MTS (Master of Theological Studies) level and one scholarship every second or third year at the Ph.D. level. These scholarships will be given to the very brightest candidates who meet stated academic standards and who have the endorsement of their religious superiors or bishops.

The John S. Marten Program in Homiletics and Liturgics
The John S. Marten Program in Homiletics and Liturgics is the University of Notre Dame's response to the universal plea for preaching renewal. We work to help clergy bring their people into an encounter with the living God.

World Religions World Church
Notre Dame's World Religions World Church (WRWC) program responds to the Church's call for a faithful and charitable dialogue of religions and cultures through conferences, seminars, and publications.

Haciendo Caminos
Haciendo Caminos is a partnership of 18 Catholic graduate schools of theology that seeks to identify and form the next generation of U.S. Latino/a Catholics.
