Interdisciplinary Initiatives
The Department supports a number of interdisciplinary initiatives that bring together faculty and graduate students from across the six areas of Theology and the university more broadly.
-
Early Christian Studies
Preparing beginning graduate students for the advanced study of early Christianity and late antiquity.
-
Byzantine Studies
Faculty and students explore multiple facets of Byzantine Christianity, through a combination of attentiveness to the sources and a keen awareness of the contemporary ecumenical value of such scholarship.
-
Jewish Studies
A rich, interdisciplinary curriculum that spans various fields such as history, theology, and literature.
-
Africa Initiative
For nearly two decades, we have proudly awarded full scholarships, including a generous stipend, to two exceptional students from Africa each year.
