In response to Pope Francis' June 18 encyclical on climate change, several Notre Dame theologians have taken part in the public discussion over humankind's relationship with the Earth.

Prof. Celia Deane-Drummond, who specializes in the relationship between theology and the natural world, was cited in many national and international news sources including NBC Nightly News, International Business Times, and Independent Catholic News. She also authored op-eds on the subject for various media outlets including Mashable, Australian Broadcasting Corp, and Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

Theology Professors John Cavadini and Candida Moss also contributed to discussions over the encyclical. Prof. Cavadini was quoted in an article by Reuters, while Prof. Moss was quoted in an article by the Religion News Service.
