Middle East TV Screening "Arab Labor"

Showing several episodes of the hit Israeli TV show, _Arab Labor_, currently in its 3rd season. This show, the first major hit on prime-time Israeli TV that is at least 1/2 in Arabic and written by an Israeli Arab, is brilliant, funny, and amazing as it regards language and the place of language in Israeli culture -- Arab and Jewish. The screening will in anticipation of a lecture visit to Notre Dame by the show's writer and creator,  Sayed Kashua, an author and an Israeli newspaper columnist, who will come to campus to talk to us in early March.

 

Screenings will continue  every Wednesday in Febrauary: 2/6; 2/13; 2/20; 2/27.

 

The screenings will take place in DeBartolo 117 at 7:30 PM. You are MOST welcome to bring treats, friends, family, and whatever. It will be a good time, and a wonderful way to stave off the winter blues.
