Biography

Joel Rasmussen is Associate Professor of Theology in the Department of Theology at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, he was Professor of Historical and Philosophical Theology in the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford, where he was also a Professorial Fellow of Mansfield College, a member of the Faculty of Philosophy, and a Senior Research Fellow of Campion Hall. Additional to his teaching and scholarly publications, Rasmussen also served for many years as the Director of the Oxford Centre for Theology and Modern European Thought (now the Centre for Philosophical Theology) and as an editor for the 11-volume critical edition of Kierkegaard’s Journals and Notebooks (Princeton University Press).
