Biography

Maria Sermersheim focuses on the New Testament and the faithful milieu preceding and succeeding it. She has completed all of her theological training to date at the University of Notre Dame and has written a monthly column for the newspaper of her home Diocese of Evansville since 2015.

Research Interests

Gospels, divine judgment, Second Temple Judaism, early Church reception, intertextuality, NT interpretation of OT, Paul and Jesus tradition
