Biography
Luke Donahue is a doctoral student at the University of Notre Dame, where he also received his BA and his MTS. His current research interests include lay piety and vernacular prayer (especially Marian devotions and vernacular literature), Mariology, and liturgical history (especially of baptism). While not neglecting published editions and translations, Luke tries to draw in manuscript evidence from the medieval and early modern tradition. Luke's previous research topics include a vernacular, Catholic baptism rite from Reformation-era Germany (published 2022, 2023) and vernacular Marian devotional prayers from late medieval Munich (undergraduate thesis).
