Biography
Ulrich L. Lehner is a specialist in religious history and theology of the Early Modern period and the Enlightenment. He has authored fifteen books and edited many more. He has been recognized and honored with several prestigious fellowships and memberships, including being selected as a Member and Herodotus Fellow in the School of Historical Studies at the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, a fellow at the Institute for Comparative History of Religious Orders at the University of Eichstätt, Distinguished Fellow at the NDIAS (twice), fellow of the Earhart Foundation (twice), of the Humboldt-, the Friedrich von Siemens Foundation, and most recently the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
Additionally, he was inducted into the European Academy for Sciences and Arts, the Accademia Ambrosiana, and the Academia Europea.
