Jan Poorman’s doctoral degree is in Systematic Theology from the University of Notre Dame, where she has served as an educator and administrator since 1993. Prior to coming to the MDiv Program, where she now serves as Director of Formation and Field Education, Jan served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School. Previously, Jan was also one of the original designers of two highly respected programs at Notre Dame: the Echo Faith Formation Leadership Program, where she continues to serve as Senior Formation Advisor, and Notre Dame Vision, where she taught the undergraduate “Mentors in Faith” for ten years. Jan is also a regular presenter at retreats and formation workshops throughout the University community, and she is a skilled facilitator of the art of theological reflection, a staple in ministry formation.
