As part of a joint celebration by the Anglican Cathedral of All Saints and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany, New York, a special gathering was held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, where Fr. Khaled Anatolios delivered the keynote address for the annual Bible Symposium commemorating the 1700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed.
The symposium took place at the Anglican cathedral and brought together clergy, scholars, and lay participants from across the region. Fr. Anatolios— Senior Ecumenical Fellow of the Tantur Ecumenical Institute and John A. O’Brien Professor of Theology and Department Chair at the University of Notre Dame— offered an in-depth exploration of the Biblical foundations, historical formation, and enduring significance of the Nicene Creed.
Additionally, Fr. Anatolios delivered the Sunday morning homily at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and preached at the Evensong service on Sunday afternoon at the Anglican Cathedral of All Saints.
The event was co-sponsored by a diverse ecumenical group, including the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, Siena College, and the New Skete Monasteries, reflecting a shared commitment to theological engagement across Christian communities.
