Daniel Machiela, Professor in the Department of Theology, has been elected the Bleehen Visiting Fellow at St. John's College, University of Cambridge, for Michaelmas Term, 2026. While at Cambridge, Professor Machiela will be finishing a book project related to his research on the Aramaic Dead Sea Scrolls. He will also begin a commentary project on the Genesis Apocryphon (1Q20), one of the first Dead Sea Scrolls discovered by Bedouin shepherds along the coast of the Dead Sea in 1947.
