Margot Fassler speaks about France's Notre Dame Cathedral in response to recent fire

Author: SMND

Our hearts are with Paris in the wake of the devastating fire at Notre Dame Cathedral. Margot Fassler, Keough-Hesburgh Professor of Music History and Liturgy and director of Sacred Music at Notre Dame, has led tours of the cathedral and was interviewed by multiple national and international news outlets yesterday.
"The Cathedral ‘Notre Dame de Paris’ is the cradle of late medieval music," Fassler said. "Much of the imagination of those involved in European, religion, culture, and music is tied to this place."
