Workshop: "Catholicism and the Disciplines: Course Preparation Workshop"

Jeff Speaks, Professor of Philosophy, will guide this workshop. This is a (purely optional) workshop for people interested in teaching CAD (“Catholicism Across the Disciplines”) courses in the future, and for people signed on to teach such courses in 2019-20. It will focus on (i) a brief explanation of the criteria for the acceptance of CAD courses, and the reasons behind those criteria; (ii) a discussion of various ways in which courses in different disciplines can be designed to meet those criteria; and (iii) a discussion of how to evaluate student work which defends views on faith or normative questions.
