Sister Mary Prudence Allen, R.S.M. is a member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan and a Catholic philosopher whose work focuses on the philosophical concept of womanhood. In 2014, Pope Francis named Sister Prudence to the International Theological Commission.

This lecture about the dignity of human gender is part of the Notre Dame Human Dignity Project which strives to develop a pedagogy of human dignity that is accessible to persons of all faiths or no faith. Sponsored by the McGrath Institute for Church Life.
