The Oblates of Blues, which counts among its members Max Johnson, professor of liturgy at ND, will be playing a benefit show to support a Theology alum and her husband. Come support a good cause, and listen to a fantastic blues band!

The Oblates of Blues are playing a surprise benefit show on Saturday, Sept 16, at Legends, beginning at 10pm. The purpose of this is to raise money to assist ND alums Shawn and Kathy Sexton and their son John in Atlanta, GA. Shawn has ALS and is now wheel chair bound, emailing and talking by the use of his eyes and computer; and Kathy is his primary care-giver 24/7. The money raised will go to them and to help pay for someone to come in to help Kathy on occasion so that she can attend to other things as well as take a break. Shawn is an Alum of NDs undergrad program and the marching band, and worked for several years here in OIT. Kathy holds an MA in liturgy from ND and worked for several years in the Notre Dame Center for Liturgy, as well as in OIT. This will be a surprise to them.
