Church choirs and individual church singers are invited to the open session on participatory singing on Saturday, September 15, 3-5pm. Come join us for a beautiful afternoon of sacred music singing, followed by a visit with composer James MacMillan at 7pm, and a free concert of his new motet Cum vidisset Jesus and his unforgettable cantata The Seven Last Words from the Cross!

The festival conference will feature composer and guest lecturer James MacMillan, in residence to attend the premiere of his new motet "Cum vidisset Jesus," with a panel of other distinguished composers, conductors and scholars. We invite composers, conductors and church musicians to share their work in the choral readings and to engage in discussions and workshops on creating, conducting and teaching sacred music during this extraordinary encounter.
