Normally, applicants to the M.T.S. Program will be expected to have a background in the humanities (preferably including theology or related disciplines) and/or the social sciences.

All applicants to the MTS must submit GRE scores with their application.

  • In the version of the test given prior to October 2002, GRE scores in the verbal, analytical, and quantitative sections must add up to at least 1800, with the verbal and analytical scores being the most important.
  • In the version of the GRE introduced in October 2002, in which the analytical section consists of two writing tasks each graded on a scale of 0-6, we expect scores of 4.5 or better.

Financial Support

All students admitted to the M.T.S. will be provided with full tuition scholarships for the duration of their program.
