Conviction vs. Compromise: Being a Person of Faith in a Liberal Democracy

This is the kick-off event for this year’s Notre Dame Forum, which is on the theme of challenges facing American democracy.

Speakers include:

  • Pastor Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church, author of The Purpose Driven Life
  • Rev. Richard Cizik, president of the New Evangelical Partnership for the Common Good
  • Most Rev. Joseph Kurtz, archbishop of Louisville, vice-president of the Conference of Catholic Bishops
  • Elder Dallin H. Oaks, member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  • Rabbi David Saperstein, director and counsel of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism
